Zero Service

I first reported my phone line faulty around March 15. I subsequently reported the line faulty twice on March 19 ref 752CRK170317 and then again on April 7 ref 156CRK060417. Today is April 11 2017. Now I cant say no one has been. There have been many people. There have been many phone calls. In fact my neighbours all have the same problem. Most of run businesses from home and are totally dependent on the telephone line and related ADSL service. So when I say the income we generate is dependent on our phones and ADSL working what do you think happens when your phone has not worked for 4 weeks. Zero income. This of course means zero to Telkom who after 4 weeks have still not fixed the problem. It seems that in the new South Africa the word "Zero" is starting to take on significant meaning when I look at my bank account which is starting to look like the service we get from Telkom "Zero".

Does anyone know what I can do to get a working telephone line and ADSL in a residential area where Telkom are clearly a monoploy and clearly dont care ?!

Hi Hans

A technician was dispatch and he declared your modem as faulty. Did you manage to get a new modem?
