I ported 5 family members from a different network provider to Telkom recently and sadly am regretting this.

I was the last of my family to apply for a new contract and port my number on 1 November 2019. My Samsung A50 could not be issued, as it had to be accompanied by a power pack. Two weeks later on 14 November 2019, i was notified that the power packs arrived and i could collect my phone. Unfortunately there was no handset for me when i got to the store. The next day, 15 November 2019, i was again notified that everything was sorted and i collected the phone. On 16 November i returned the phone, as the on board storage was only 16g instead of the specified 128g. (My husband's phone had the exact same issue, so this was something we looked out for). On 26 November my Out of Box Failure was finally approved (after i called the store to follow up a few days before) and i was advised that i could collect a new handset. Unfortunately i fell ill and was unable to collect the unit from the store until Saturday, 30 November. But guess what! There was no stock as OBF replacement units are not reserved and the Samsung A50 was also a promotional item for Black Friday, so it was sold out - your business module is questionable.

Why do the sales consultants not check the Samsung A50's for this storage problem when issuing the phones, as this seems to be a common problem? Or if these Out of Box Failures are all fron the same batch, wouldn't it be the RIGHT THING TO DO to recall this batch?

I was quite upset that after an entire month had passed, i still did not have my new phone - but the store manager assured me that she was sourcing a handset and would contact me before close of business today (Monday, 2 December 2019).

So here i am, still without a new handset and a one month old "contract".

It is my opinion that that Telkom lacks organization, planning and maintaining customer satisfaction with current customers.
