You Pay for 10 Mbps and receive 1 Mbps

For all those who are considering using Telkom as a Wi-Fi service provider I would seriously recommend against it. Over the past 3 months I have had the unpleasant experience of using Telkom’s Wi-Fi service where I have experienced and recorded the erratic Mbps delivery. I have an agreement with them for the supply of uncapped Wi-Fi at 10 Mbps yet many times when checking it has been below 1 Mbps. When questioning them on this I have been told it is due to load shedding and the weather yet we have not had load shedding for quite sometime and I have also checked when we have had perfect weather conditions and the results are the same. I am then told I must sit closer to my router which is a mere 2 metres from my desk!

I can honestly say that their service is extremely poor which has resulted in me giving them notice as I intend to find a service provider that delivers what I am paying for being 10 Mbps.
