You complain so you call us back, dear customer...

Telkom seem to have their hands full with complaints judging by all the bad reviews on this site & I've experienced why.

Like the government, their attitude seems to be "we're the monopoly so skrew those who pay for our service/salaries".

For further proof that they really don't give a **** about their customers' bad experiences, read this:

I sent them this:

'On June 25, almost my whole data bundle mysteriously got used up within an hour. I queried this the next day & was given case # ********** 4 & got told they'd investigate what specifically got downloaded. I gave Mandla my contact details (I specifically told them not to use the phone # I use for your service as it stays in the ****le). Nobody ever called me back/no messages received, I kept phoning every 2/3 days, everytime being told "someone will get back to me" by various agents (Nobisa & Tembeka being some of those I remember speaking to). Eventually after 2 weeks of many long calls & wasted airtime, I got told by Nondobeko that they couldn't see exactly what was downloaded & that the case was already closed 2 weeks earlier! My question is: why did nobody inform me of the case being closed long time ago already in my previous calls & if you aren't ever able to see what gets downloaded in cases of suspicious data usage, what was the point in me lodging the query/investigation if the 1st person I spoke to could've just told me that the 1st time I called? It would've saved me lots of time & energy! Very bad service!'

After all that, this was their dim witted customer service (I use that term very loosely) agent's reply (I actually kind of expected something along these lines so silly me for complaining & hoping for any sort of resolve):

'Good day Sean

Thank you for your email,

Kindly note that after a case is logged and you are provided with a case number you are the one that is needs to call in to get the feedback of the case logged.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards,

Hophney Leso

Telkom Customer Service'
