You advertise MacBook Air. No Stock anywhere!

I app**** online in December for the R699 MacBook Air deal. I was never contacted so I went in-store to apply. I was told that there hadn't been stock of the MacBook Air (Or any Apple products for that matter) for 2 months. I received an SMS this morning to say there will be no more stock received ever for any branch. What is going on?
