Yet another disaster of a provider.

Ok...so here's another review of worlds famous "Telkom" provider.

I had several faults in my contract term so far and I can honestly say I've never had any decent service from them : 1 -They fail to contact you when there is a fault, even if you ask them to make a note "please contact me" 2 - Most of the staff seems to be *********** cause one person tells you 'A' and the second person tells you 'B' and at the end of the day it turns out 'C'

I am still struggling some evenings with slow internet and bad latency. So I contacted other ISP's who set me up with their test accounts and it made the worlds difference, (better speeds and much better latency and very low ping). So I contacted technical support and they can't do anything to get the line better. They(Telkom), also then gave me a new test account to try and all of a sudden I got extremely low ping/latency and proper internet speed.

So now you probably thinking why the bad review then, well here's the catch. The test accounts is not theirs, it's with Openserve. They could not make the test account they gave me to use "mine", because it is Openserve and not Telkom. So for me it's like false adverti*****t to use another ISP's test account to draw clients and when you sign up you get "second best" from Telkom. The only other option that could possible help was to try a "capped" line. So I got a ref number and things I asked was, will the installment change, who will do the change, etc. I was told the installment won't change and (10213) will contact me to activate the change. So after waiting a few days I contacted them. The first person told me on my 20mb line with a cap of 200gig it's going to be an extra R500, the second person I spoke to after calling again told me on a 20mb line you don't get a cap more than a 100gig. So at this point I'm giving up and want to move to the other ISP I had the test account with.

I phoned to find out how long is left of my contract term and I was told my term is over, so when I phoned again to move/migrate to another ISP they told me I am not yet done with my term...(again inconsistency) I wish I could move to a new and better ISP, but I'm stuck for a few months still and no hope of getting the same quality line other provider can bring to the table.

I will not be advising anyone to go with this provider..

Yes well..that's what you are saying. I'm use to them not returning your calls or resolving line issues you might have. Today is the 05/08/2018 and guess what, no feedback from anyone. I'm done with Telkom as soon as my contract expires and I hope Telkom gets a wake up call once all their clients start moving to other service providers as soon as fibre becomes available and no need for phone lines is necessary anymore. The last feedback I got was : The test accounts is with a different service provider and NOT TELKOM. Well that's another story, because that is false advertising!!!!!

One more thing please, can perhaps find out for me how long I have left on my contract, because I get mixed messages from your staff when I phone in after you wait 30mins on the phone before it gets answered.
