The cables in my area were ******. After a month I did a follow up only to learn that cables are no longer being replaced under such circumstances and that a migration to wireless devices must be done, which was done. The Sim card and router get delivered to you on different days. Upon contacting telkom bec no phone was delivered, as per consultants info, I was told to plug in the old handset into the router. This did not work. This was on the 2nd July 2019. Ever since I have been contacting customer care, being thrown frm sales department to the tech dept because apparently the Sim card has not been activated. One dept seemingly cannot do anything bec its not their 'job'. It's the 2 August and still nothing has been done. Supervisors are either never available and messages taken for someone to get back and guess what..... I am still waiting for a callback. Each time a consultant tells u a different version. You have to wonder if they have a clue of what's their job except say 'how can we help'. Only one supervisor did return my call and say she will see what can be done..... But after 2 days I get told by the consultant the order has not been closed off.... Whatever that means. All that can be said is we sending an email to the relevant department. Wonder if that dept exists bec nothing seems to come of anything. Not even the telkom store can do anything but say we will send an email. My time, effort and money is being wasted. They cannot do their job but know how to invoice you for a service that's not even activated. Patheth service. Very soon someone at the local telkom store is going to be routed to an unknown destination with that very router that is in my possession. Telkom should change their moto to 'how can we not help u'. Another service provider ought to put them to the challenge of better services and when they become like Eskom they would have only themselves to blame. Utterly disgusting customer services
