Wrongful contract given

I was having a contract with Telkom for more than 5 years were i was paying R459 for unlimited data. July 2026 i received a call from Telkom saying that since I am a loyal customer and have been on that plan for years, they want to offer me something that is more advanced and that will work better than what I am currently having. The salesperson indicated that I will receive unlimited for R299 that will be more faster than what I have and also another sim card which will have 25 GB for R89. I agreed because they said it will more more faster than what I. The sim cards were delivered and from day one, the network has always been bad, I cant connect TV and phones and laptop at once. When I called I was told that nothing is wrong with the network. It was only today (04/08/2026) that when I called customer service I was informed that I am now on the slowest speed which is 10MHZ instead of the 20MHZ speed that I was previously in. I was advised that the salespeople can either upgrade me or downgrade me to what I was previously on. When I called sales they told me that I have to wait for 3 months for such to happen. My questions were: 1. Why should I wait for 3 months because Telkom deceived me, I never initiated the upgrade, it was Telkom calling me saying I need to upgrade to something better. 2. Now I am forced to pay for something that does not work for me, until the 3 months come. 3. Why would I want to downgrade myself to something that will never work for me and my family. I would like Telkom to provide me with the following: 1. Recording were I called Telkom and request for an upgrade 2. Recording that the salesperson informed me that I will be on 10MHZ speed and agreed to that. 3. Telkom to take me back to what I was having because the upgrade was done, since that was working for me 4. Telkom to tell me who should be paying for this for the next 2 months if this is not working for me and I was deceived by Telkom to take something that will never work. 5. Can the contract be cancelled, so that I can go to MTN or Vodacom, maybe they will offer something that will work for me. and I refuse to pay for any cost that will be incurred from cancelling the contract, because Telkom official was not transparent when selling me the product. "I was happy with what I had.

I hope this will be addressed urgently, as I cannot be forced to pay for something that does not work for me.

I hope the above will be addressed urgently.
