WRONG INFORMATION, NO SERVICE & FALSE ADVERTISING

I want to lay a complaint regarding Telkom's total inability to provide customer service and the *********** employees working at the sales call centre. Also the promotions on offer is nothing but false advertising. 2months ago I decided to do an upgrade to my existing adsl line. I wanted to upgrade to a telkom unlimited home 10mbps line uncapped. I phoned the sales call centre and went through the process of verifying my details as I am an existing customer. I spoke to Nontobeko who confirmed that she processed my order and it will take 24-48hrs for the upgrade to be done. 1 week passed and nothing was done so I phoned during the weekend and spoke to another call centre agent who said the order was cancelled without my knowledge. When I asked why, she wasnt able to tell me except that she would reprocess my order which she did. I had to go throught the entire verification process again which was really frustrating as I had already done this.Another week passed and still no feedback and nothing was done so I phoned a 3rd time and spoke to Hamida who said the orders were cancelled again because the exchange in Tongaat cannot provide up to 10mbps speed to my house. So why was I not made aware of this initially? No feedback and the agents did not advise me of this. The 1st time I called, If the 1st agent tested my line, my time would not of been wasted. Hamida told me the max speed I could get is up to 4mpbs so I told her why didnt the 1st agent test the line and tell me this before processing the order and wasting my time. She apologized. Another week passed and still my line was not upgraded. This time I phoned and another agent told me that the area I stay in does not support adsl , only LTE. And I told the agent that this is bull**** and should get her facts straight because I already have an existing 2mbps adsl line for the past 10years and now she tells me my area has no adsl? She said thats what her system says when she checks. I told her that the previous week Hamida confirmed my line can go up to 4mbps so I had chosen to upgrade to 4mbps unlimited home instead of 10mbps because thats the only option I had(not that I wanted this option). So now it became a case of 3 call centre agents I spoke to over 3weeks, all of whom had given me wrong information. So now this agent said I cant upgrade to 4mbps because my area is not covered and I said that was just bullshut because Hamida already confirmed that 4mbps is the max which I app**** for and now she tells me I cant upgrade. So whose lying? When I asked to speak to the manager she said shes not available and the supervisor will call me on Monday. Nobody called!!! So now Im stuck with a pathetic 2mbps line speed and ineligble for an upgrade. Telkom advertises these promotions but when you apply for them ,they dont tell you about all these things. All of my time wasted by *********** staff. After weeks of persistance, Telkom support says there was a problem with their coverage map which tells you what offers are available in your area and in my area it was saying no addl available which is wrong because I already have an adsl line. So they confirmed that the coverage map was giving incorrect information to customers and their network department will have to sort it out. Up to this day its still giving wrong information. Is this what call centre is using to advise clients? Because its 100% bull****! So I need a professional to check what is really going on because your call centre agents are clueless and have given me a really hard time. It is really amusing that Telkom calls itself the best data service provider because I think its the worst. They advertise these promotions but cant provide the service and now Im stuck with this useless package I have. So if I need unlimited internet I was told I have to take a 2mbps unlimited and pay for the unlimited separately which will cost me more than it would if I were to take a 4mbps unlimited package upgrade. This doesn't make sense. Why should I pay more to get unlimited internet for my 2mbps line just because Telkom cant provide the service to upgrade me to a 4mbps line. I was told my discount would fall away if I were to take the upgrade which is not fair because it is not really an upgrade if I just change to unlimited but keeping the same line speed. Why should I pay more fir 2mbps unlimited when the 4mbps package is cheaper? Because they cant provide the service? And because their coverage map is wrong and agents give wrong information. I need a professional to check what packages are available in my area and advise and they need to sort their coverage map so customers know what packages to apply for

Fair enough, but your coverage map is giving wrong information and your call centre agents are not clued up with their facts. Gave me a very hard time and i complained about this but your'lls coverage map still doesnt work montha after I brought it to telkoms attention and their agents know nothing abt testing lines before clients apply for upgrades. Waste clients time

If Telkom could not upgrade me to a 4mbps line due to lack of infrastructure, fair enough. But that doesnt give them the right to totally rip me off just because you cant provide the service i wanted ! Thats not my fault. I am a customer and deserve fair treatment, but instead Telkom gave me a kick up the backside and chose to squeeze every penny from me just because a 2mbps uncapped line isnt one if the packages available. Whise fault is that? Mine?Since teIkom couldnt upgrade me I was forced to pay R592 for a 2mbps uncapped line which is just bull**** considering a 4mbps uncapped line costs R599. What a load of **** that is. Does this make any sense? Paying virtually the sane price for a 2mbps line whereas I could of got a 4nbps line fir the same price. U guys cant upgrade so you choose to ***** me instead to take an uncapped 2mbps line and pay the same as I would for a 4mbps line just coz u dint have a package to accomodate your clients. I wiuld never advise anyone to use Telkom. Absolute *******
