worst telkom experience ever

i have been a telkom customer for the past five years and i have never had any problems. on the 10th of September 2019 i got a call from telkom sales to upgrade my 2mb soft cap line to a 10mg uncapped line. i agreed and everything was finalized over the phone. on the Monday my internet was not working and i did not have any internet access.

i phoned telkoms customer care and they said the upgrade can take up to 5 to 10 working day. waited patiently for the 5 tot 10 working days to pass, sitting without any wifi.

i phoned telkom again after 5 to 10 working days, and still the answer was the upgrade is still in progress, i went to a telkom outlet which is 40km away from me and there they emailed the person directly who did my upgrade and according to him, he did everything from his side to upgrade the line and nobody could understand why i did not have internet access.

i phoned telkom every single day for two weeks with 4 different reference numbers. eventually i could not take it anymore and i requested a cancellation of my fiber line which was done in October.

on Friday the 22nd of November my line was finally cancelled, today the 26 of November my line has been cancelled put it has not been released from the telkom system so my new service provider cannot take over my fiber line.

so i have been sitting without any internet from the 10th of September and the lady from customer care just told me that she will escalate my problem which has been done probably 50 times already.

i am so frustrated, angry, upset and no one can tell me what the problem is or how to resolve it, i must just be happy and sit and wait for something to happen.

oh and i have still been paying for my fiber line since September, for my 10mg fiber line which i never got and still no service has been given to me.

this has been the worst experience i have had in my entire life and i will not recommend anyone to ever use telkom.

lets hope my line will get released within the next 4 months
