Worst service I've ever had - blatant *******ion!!

I've had a Telkom line for almost a year now. Disappointing service to say the least! On the 15th of November 2016, I cancelled my service by sending in the 30 days cancellation form as well as a copy of my ID document. I received confirmation of receipt of the cancellation later that day, and was informed that I would be contacted by a Telkom agent within 30 days.

On the 23rd of November I was contacted by Cristianh Lebogang Modiba, who asked me if the new tenants would be interested in taking over the line. I spoke to the new tenants who (very wisely!!) said that they do not want to deal with Telkom. I then informed ms Modiba to go ahead and cancel the line like I had originally requested. I have since sent 3 emails trying to confirm the cancellation, but have gotten no reply.

On the 1st of December I again contacted Ms Modiba, and again got no reply. Then on the 9th of December, an amount of R809 was debited from my bank account. I was only supposed to be debited with R405, as I only had 2 weeks of service left.

I called Telkom on the 3rd of January, and explained my situation - that I had cancelled my line more than a month ago already, but was still getting charged for services I did not want. I was told that my line had not been cancelled yet, and that I should forward the cancellation form to ********** who would then escalate the matter. I sent the form to the address, and got an auto-reply that: "The error that the other server returned was: 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected". I sent another email to the address, but that also failed. I sent Ms Modiba another email requesting that she please help me in this matter as she originally said, but still no answer.

Then on the 9th of January ANOTHER debit order of R809 was ********ly debited from my account!

Then on the 10th of January I called 10210 again, and the same story as above - I was told to send my cancellation form to ********** and again I got the same auto-reply as above.

I then called 10210 again, and was AGAIN told the same story; I should send my cancellation form to ********** and she would escalate the matter. The email actually went through, and the following day I sent her a follow-up email just to hear if she had been able to cancel my contract. Big surprise - NO ANSWER!

Today, I called Telkom again. I was told that I now all of a sudden owe Telkom an amount of R1800 and something, and the lady couldn't tell me what for. I all reality, that is the amount that Telkom owes ME! I was again told to send my cancellation form to ********** and she would escalate the matter for me, as on the system my account was still not cancelled.

Fifth time lucky? I'm beginning to think not!

I want my Telkom account cancelled IMMEDIATELY and all of the money that is owed to me repaid! Never in my life have I had service this bad! If this matter is not dealt with before Friday, I will seek legal counsel, as I work for a law firm. This is completely unacceptable, and I would strongly recommend everyone to stay as far away from Telkom as is humanly possible - this firm is beyond *******, and is blatantly *****ing from me, then has the nerve to tell me I owe them money!

What a joke - Telkom sent me this auto-reply nonsensical message with a reference number on the 17th already. I've called the Telkom helpline twice since then and still nothing has even been done to resolve this matter. I will be seeking legal help, since Telkom is HORRIBLE with dealing with customers, and pretty lax when it comes to abiding the law!!
