Worst Service EVER

Over the past year my telephone line at my house has been out of order more times than it has been working. The most recent incident was reported to Telkom on 4 November 2017. A technician was eventually dispatched to investigate the problem; and informed me that the problem was located to the underground cables from the exchange. He had to hand the incident over to the relevant department to correct the error. Today (23 days later) my line is still faulty and I am not getting any feedback on the matter. However; Telkom wasted no time in delivering a bill for the rental of a line that is not working?! I have tried phoning for an update, sending mails, trying to see someone face-to-face but all was a waste of time. Closest I got to getting some answer was when a service desk agent answered my call to 10210 a week ago. He informed me that the technical department was still working on it (by the way, that is the standard answer one gets) and that someone will contact me that same day with an update. Well, as I expected; no-one contacted me and I am still in the dark about the issue and when it will be resolved. But, payment for the line rental will be demanded on time I'm sure.

Yet again empty promises from Telkom's Hello Peter team. Yet, another reference number and promises that the matter was escalated. However, I am still not being told 1.) What is wrong with the line. 2.) What is being done about the matter 3.) When will it be fixed 4.) I want a refund for the service rental as it has not been working for a month now. Instead of the above I only get anonymous, empty, useless promises.

May I ask why you are responding to this message, 3 weeks later? The line was fixe after I had to take time out of my busy work day, to go to Telkom offices and demanding to talk to someone with some decision-making powers. The line was fixed about a week ago.
