worst service ever

After reporting that my adsl line wasn't working more than a month ago and phoning numerous times to ask I have been told many different stories one of the recent ones that it has been escalated and I have nothing since. I do alot of work from home and cell signal is bad in the area so when my adsl line is done I am left with nothing. No home phone incase of emergencies nothing. I can't access my email or anything. And they still insist I pay my bill. Why when the service offered has not been provided for over a MONTH it's outrageous what worse if you call the call line you get hung up on.
