Worst possible service imaginable from Telkom

I regularly pay my Telkom account at the end/ beginning of every month without fail. This has been the case for the past couple of years. In 2018 I moved to another physical address in teh same suburb and had to wait nearly 7 months for the transfer of my service to the new address (despite my application well in advance for the moving of the line).

In the meantime the service had actually been suspended awaiting the move of the line. I however continued paying the monthly account despite the fact that I had Zero service from Telkom.

After 4 months I stopped making payments and advised Telkom that I would no longer make any payments for a service I did NOT have yet, werr being billed for every single month without fail.

Eventually, the line was moved ( not without many hick-ups) and I continued paying the monthly account I received. I still however, had endless problems trying to get Telkom to credit my account based on their acknowledgement of the "excess payment" on teh account while I had no service from Telkom.

I have now received a notification that my current line has been suspended due to "non-payment" of the account for March 2019. I have proof that the account was in actual fact paid except for the amount Telkom would have passes a credit for according to an SMS message I received from them in January 2019 stating the=at the relevant credit would be passed the end of February 2019 (this did NOT happen and Telkom still needs to rectify the outstanding credit to my account).

My working from home has now been seriously interrupted since I have no phone and/or Internet connectivity as a result of Telkom's exceptionally poor service and account administration.

Is there not a single state department in South Africa that is NOT in a mess administratively, financially etc. due to "bad management" and a total lack of responsibility and accountability?!

Here is the notification I received from Telkom that states:

"Dear Customer, we apologise for the interruption of your services reported on fault reference .......... An applicable credit will be app**** on your next invoice dated 2019-02-08. Please do not reply to this message".

Now, what am I to do with this information since Telkom now wants payment of the "credit amount out=standing" as well before they reinstate the service ?!?!?!?
