WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!1
How on earth has customer service consultants been so deceiving, dishonest, lazy and rude. Telkoms sim, swap is free but getting mine has take 3 days and costed me R3890 in damages to my car and fuel on top of that. I hate Telkom with a passion and i will move every attachment i have with them to anyone else. My sim car was damaged and on Saturday 13 May 2023 i visited the Workshop Branch and was addressed by Mthokozisi Nzama, he advised me to wait outside and then came to me and said they cannot assist me with a sim swap because they offline and their fingerprint machine is not working. I had called Telkom to find out the nearest branch and times and hence i came to the work shop. Mthokozisi tell me the fault will only be fixed on Monday because technicians at telkom ( National telecommunication provider) technicians DO NOT WORK ON WEEKENDS. He told me i can go check other branches and suggested Galleria Mall ( 30 km away) I asked him because it was 2 pm and they close at 4pm can i wait he advised me against waiting. I waited in the car anyways because i need my number as im self employed and i have my busiest times at weekends in the entertainment sector. I comeback at 3:40 and Mthokozisi locked the door and said they were closed and they were busy finishing a sale inside. I tried to plead with him through the glass advising its only 3:40 and the shop closes at 4pm and he ignored me and showed me the closed hand sign and there was no load shedding scheduled which would have made sense if they were closing after 4pm. Because i was losing money and credibility i decided to drive all the way to the south Galleria as advised was stuck in traffic got to Galleria the shop was closed and when i came back out someone had reversed into my from bumper. I could not afford to leave without a sim card so i spend another day in Durban and in the Morning i went to Musgrave where i was assisted and i was advised that they all on the same systems and why were they able to sell phones if they were of line. I was also advised the because a sim swap is a non sale product no one wants to do it because its a waist of time. I got my sim swap i went home i entered my simcard to conduct my business and the sim card was not active, i had to go back to durban as i could not afford to not have a service and i was literally the fist customer at the door on Monday Morning to advise that my sim card was not active as yet 24 hours later. I was then advised by the Musgrave store that the lady who had done my simswap did not activate the service so she activated the service and i officially had service at about 10:30 am on Monday. This is after i lost an entire weekends work and a day as i had initiated a sim swap from Saturday. So Mthokozisi who had a manager present by the name of Sindisiwe from the Workshop branch (Durban) **** to me and redirected me and i lost work, time, a bumper fuel and all trust in Telkom. How selfish can you be to tell customer to go away till Monday to avoid sim swaps because they dont makes sales from sim swaps , how can you tell the public lies and say there are no technicians available on weekends and that service will only be back Monday. How do you send clients on joy rides where as you know the service is available, how do you disrespect humans in such a way as if they have nothing better to do. Further more i approached the Manger today and she also tried to cover up by saying that they system is linked with home affairs hence the finger print was not working. I told her that the other branches gave advised that the systems where working and that they all on the same system, she then changed and said they have a internet problem at their store ( Telkom cant secure internet for its stores but want to service SA with internet), that again was another lie. I did not want to argue i tool names and walked out. I am spending the day today dealing with this in my own productivity time because no one deserves to go through what i went through, no one. I would like to be shown a case logged for only that store being offline for simswaps but good for sales and new rica's. We not idiots and we not born yesterday. I wish i could attach pics here. Funny enough it is the second time i get disgusting service from Workshop Telkom. In April was told to go to where i originally got a simswap because i did not exist only because the agent was *********** of navigating the system till him manager did so and assisted me. I am boiling im agry and i am fed up by what i have had to go through the weekend , Monday and today because of Telkom and i cant wait to move else where.
