Worse than SABC when trying to cancel

<p>On 10 August I called to enquire about cancelling the ADSL line as it has been a total waste of time and money, I am informed this can only be done in writing and the cancellation form will be emailed (totally acceptable as it is a contract cancellation), but when you email said cancellation on 11 August 2016 and phone to confirm on numerous occassions if the cancellation has been received and actioned you get fobbed off with "you will be contacted to confirm cancellation" and "no, I can't check on the system if we have received your cancellation you must just wait". So in order to ensure that this does not "fall through the cracks" and we don't have to pay another month of non-existant service billing I am hereby placing it in the public domain that said cancellation has been done in writing with no confirmation from Hellkom, and no further payments will be made for said cancelled ADSL line effective end of August 2016 as are my rights within the CPA. I now await your cancellation confirmation in writing.</p>
