with out a phone for 6weeks !!!!!and get told please be patient???

I have been with out a phone for 6weeks !!!!!!!!!! i reside in 395 bartle road Durban .They are laying cables in the road and i have since had no telkom line .When i call telkom i get told please be patient.I am an estate agent how am i supose to work with out a landline.Please help
