Wireless Landline SIM Invalid: Without service from 6 September 2018

On 6 September 2018, my copper landline was struck by lightening and it destroyed the telephone pole outside my home along with the lines running from it. I received my wireless landline phone 2 weeks ago. After installing it, it displayed "Invalid SIM". I called 10213 and was advised by the consultant that she would email the relevant department to have the SIM activated. She advised that it would be activated within 24 - 48 hours, it has been over 72 hours and I am still experiencing the error. A colleague of mine at work also experienced the same issue and he received his phone a week ago and the SIM was activated yesterday and his landline is not working.
