WIFI ROUTER DOWN

I cancelled my wifi account because I did not want to upgrade and continue being billed. What I want to understand is why my routee is now not working? I paid for it, it should now be mine. Also, I was under the impression you'd convert the sim to a prepaid cause that is also mine, isn't it?

I'm quite frustrated at this point with no wifi access.
