WiFi Fibre Line Suspension Due to Telkom wrong billing
I have signed a 24 months contract for WiFi Fibre internet line on 30 July 2020 for monthly payment of R499.00. I have been paying regularly according to the contract. However, Telkom ignored this contract and started sending a bill with amount more than what I signed for. In addition, when I visited the Telkom Store at Woodlands, Pretoria I have learnt that the contract period also changed from 21 September 2022 to 21 September 2023 without informing me. Although I have been paying the monthly amount of R499 that I have signed for, my WiFi Fibre line was suspended because of the wrong cumulated billings several times in year 2021. After several e-mails and telephone calls they reconnected the line which stayed for few months and then suspended the line. Every time when they reconnect the line, I thought they fixed the wrong billing problem. This year (2022) it has already happened twice from 10 -25 January and now from 15 February 2022. I guess the main problem is various departments within Telkom don’t communicate customer inquiries properly. You report wrong billing or suspension of a line which happened due to wrong billing then 10213 section advise you to communicate 10210 then 10210 to 10213 this will continue for weeks. When they reconnect, the connection happens for a month or two then their usual action starts – they don’t give a permanent solution.
In the process you expose to unnecessary expenses and your work can be affected if you are relying on internet.
I don’t know where the management team in all this!
