wife's prepaid sim blocked

According to my knowledge it is ********l to block a prepaid sim without the owner thereof consenting to it, my wife uses a prepaid cellphone (bought cash) with a prepaid telkom mobile sim card, this morning she has no use of her phone (no calls etc can be made) it says sim card blocked? Is this the level of incompetency we can expect? Do you really want to lose more customers again to cell c and mtn like with the blackberry debacle? Resolve this nonsense immediately please
