WI-FI took the highway

I am totally digusted with the service received from Telkom. My mother a 72 year old pensioner went to Telkom in Cradle Stone to take out a Wi-Fi contract of R199 per month, in March 2017. On the given day there was no sales person to assist, they took her details and said that they will send a sales person to her home to complete her application. The Sales person visited her the following week, incorrectly completed the contract for a different amount of R299 and told her that a technician will visit her to install the Wi-Fi router. To day and date no technician has installed the equipment. No sign off or jobcard was signed by my mother. Each and every month an amount of over a R1000-00 (thousand rand) is deducted from her bank account. Then she has to travel all the way to Westonaria to her bank to have the amount reversed. This reversal is costing her R26-00 everytime this needs to be done. Last month the bank rate for reversal has gone up and it's now costing her R30-00 per reversal. She has visited the Telkom Cradle Store and laid a complaint, they have opened a ***** case and requested Telkom to cancel the contract since she hasn't received the Wi-Fi and she is paying for ZERO services. Cancellation case number is ********** . My mother went as far as obtaining an affidavit to declare that no equipment was delivered or set up at her home. On the 4th of July 2017 she came to visit me in Springs, again complaining that the Telkom issue was still not sorted and that she needs to go to her bank to do a reversal of the money that Telkom has deducted once again. I accompanied my mother to the Springs Telkom branch to see if we can sort this once and for all. The lady looked up the case and showed us that on my mothers's initial request of installation NO paperwork, jobcard or sign off was added. She also confirmed that the sales person who completed my mother's initial application no longer works for Telkom. She then checked the MEI number of the Wi-Fi device to see if the device was active and in use....guess what the device is active and in use. Telkom my mother is a pensioner living on a pension with limited funds, when are you going to sort out this mess or are everyone in your company too *********** to deal with this problem. My mother do not have the funds nor the patience to phone your

offices every day to sort out your mess!!!!!!!! In my next complaint, if this is not dealt with properly, I will name the employees names who was spoken to and to whom this complaint was escalated within Telkom, because it's obvious that they don't know how to do their job! Fortunately I am not a Telkom client and I promise you I will never be!

Ricky Foreman
