Why won't they let me go

I love the network and their prices but cancelling a service seems to be a nightmare. Cancelled a service on the 27th September and no one contacted me to confirm the cancellation. Then I mailed them and got promises of a cancellation but still nothing and yet I got it billed end Oct and seems like they going to bill me end Nov also.
