Who do I need to speak to, to get some service?

I have a R799 Telkom "uncapped" package. You know the age old adage of, "if it's too good to be true it often is." When I read the terms and conditions upon signing up I was jumping for joy, here is an alternate option for those people who cannot have fibre connectivity. I rushed through to sign up, unfortunately 2-3 months after sign up people were hit with the now infamous Telkom "AUP". Which if I had known about, I would never have locked myself into a 2 year contract under those conditions. After some research I found an article by Wendy Knowler, in the article Telkom's Jacqui O'Sullivan (head of group communications and PR) was quoted to have said that subscribers who wish to cancel their contract could contact Greg Roberts on 081 180 to cancel their contract without penalties... I thought to myself this is fine, I will contact Greg, state my case, cancel this LTE contract and move over to a vdsl line. So I called 081 180 and asked for Greg. After dealing with the options menu, I was put through to a consultant. I explained my situation to her and asked if I could be transferred to Mr Greg Roberts, she did not know who that was, and then asked for my case number, I explained to her that there was no case number, and that I wanted to speak to Mr Roberts to cancel my LTE contract. She proceeded to place me on hold while she found out who and where Mr Roberts was. After waiting 10 minutes she came back to tell me that he was the store manager of the Centurion Telkom shop. I explained to her that I find it highly unlikely that a store manager would be able to make this happen. I then asked her for the Telkom corporate office number, to which she rep****, "I do not have it”, and “you will have to go into the nearest Telkom store to get it." How is it that a Telkom staff member is not privy to their MAIN corporate office number? Unbeknownst to the lady, just prior to our phone conversation, I had actually been in the Galleria Telkom store, hoping to get some help. Unfortunately, I was greeted with blank stares and complete disinterest. After explaining my situation, I was told that they could log a case with the cancellations dept, but premature cancellation penalties would apply. More than that they could not do.

I had my heart set on fibre, but after enquiring about it I was told that my area is not scheduled for rollout, it would seem that my area is deemed too "poor" for the "luxury" of Telkom fibre, I take this from the fact fibre seems to have been rolled out in the affluent areas.

After checking the Telkom coverage map my consolation prize seems to be a maximum of a 20meg vdsl line. However, during my experience at the Galleria mall Telkom shop yesterday, I was informed that contradictory to what is publicised, I in fact cannot have vdsl, as there is something wrong at the exchange and there is nothing more that he can do....

Please can someone tell me what I need to do to get some actual service? I have never battled so hard in my life to get a product out of a provider.
