Whites pages (Telkom) harassing companies and demanding payment.

I currently work as a Administrator, and i have been harassed by a company called White Pages, and they call up almost every day to hear if you are interested in up dating your details, for free, and ask for the an e-mail address to send the documents to for up dating.

Since then, stating its a free service, they send an invoice for R6000., In shock, rep**** back, and requested that they cancel their subscription, tried phoning, but the accounts lady is always busy. A few days later received another e-mail stating that they have tried every thing to cancel, but a R3000 is due as a fee for cancellation.

I am fed up with ****s/spams and so called companies calling in and selling free up dates, when you get ****med into a R6000 advertising "contract" for a year. Nothing gets told over the phone to you about charges, and cancellations, and terms and conditions, let alone advertising!!!

Now White pages is harassing me for the R3000 or legal action will be taken, like seriously ?!?!

Is there anything i can do to secure the company from being dragged into this and stop nonsense like this ?? This is not acceptable and will not tolerate it.

This is false advertising as consultants lack to give FULL information when informing you of FREE up dates of company information for the telkom directory.

Does Telkom really accept their name to dragged like this, is this real. I am sure Telkom has real consultants to attend to this matter.

This needs to stopped. Please help.
