WHERE IS TELKOM?
Having emmigrated overseas for over a year, I am still trying to get hold of Telkom to cancel 3 of my contracts. There is NO EMAIL address to contact Telkom about cancellations. Nicole from Chatsworth Centre Telkom in Durban also verified this. When I asked for a contact number to cancel contracts from overseas, she gave me the 081180 number. How do you work in telecommunications and give a person in overseas this number to contact? it was of course invalid when I tried. I cannot do anything via the Telkom App as my South African number has been inactive since I moved overseas. Telkom has been deducting money from my account (which I don't have a problem with as there are some devices still in use), however, HOW DO I CANCEL UNUSED DEVICES AND DATA WHEN THERE IS NO CONTACT FOR OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS OR EVEN AN EMAIL!!!!! I was informed by Telkom Chatsworth that they cannot assist with cancellations, I have to call the 081180 number. Telkom Chatsworth then tells me that I am calling from a South African number??? What on Earth are they talking about!!! The phone that I contacted them from was an overseas bought phone with an overseas sim card which has nothing to do with SA! What kind of caller line identity does Telkom Chatsworth have? To get to the point...if someone from Telkom sees this message, can you please send me a functional number (not the 081180 type numbers), a proper 10 digit number AND an EMAIL to assist with my cancellations.
