What a nightmare

<p>After all the problems with my ADSL contract a few years ago I vowed to never use Telkom again, but I colleague told me about their October router promotion and I fell for it. When applying I ask Tumi to also give me a prepaid sim card for my cell phone for the 5GB mobile data that comes with the contract. By 1pm the paperwork was done and she told me to come back in an hour to collect the router. At 2pm I returned, but the approval was still not done. I waited and waited, which turned out to be a good thing. I would have left with the router not getting what I think I’m getting. At 3:45pm after some questions, Tumi told me that the 5GB mobile data would also be loaded on the router. After a while of arguing I realise (without her actually telling me so) that the mobile data can’t be loaded to a prepaid sim. She then suggested that I get a multi sim for my phone so that the router and my phone can share the data. The extra R9 p/m didn’t sound that much and I agreed. At 4:45pm after some more questions, I realise that I will not be able to upload prepaid airtime to my phone (so no calls and no SMSs). I then ask her to cancel the contract. I have no proof that it was cancelled, but Tumi assured me that no money would be deducted from my account as it was not activated yet. With Telkom I not so sure about that. After wasting more than 4 hours I’m cured from Telkom forever, and probably saved myself from 24 months of frustration.</p> <p> </p>
