We have surpassed bad customer service

On Friday the 8th of April I walked into Telkom Mobile store in Cavendish Mall, and filled in an application for a laptop, I was advised that the laptop delivery would take 1 - 2 weeks with 2 weeks being the extreme. Day after I had to contact Telkom via Facebook since i never received any form of notification that my application was approved or that it was being processed, only then was I contacted (18th April) via telephone by the Telkom sales person who helped me set up my account to say that it was approved. After the phone call it took me to keep reaching out and asking whether the laptop was available for pick up or even JUST FOR AN UPDATE. Needless to say 2 weeks have surpassed and now I am on my 4th week of waiting I have contacted Telkom via Facebook and they said they would look into the matter this was on Wednesday (4th May), informing me that they'd ask the store manager to follow up with me. It is now Friday and still no update of any form. I am aware that I have signed a contract stating that I am willing to take out a contact with them, but can I still get out of taking it out with them, at my prerogative? Does the contract not only become binding once delivery of the goods is confirmed? I don't know whether I am asking for much but seriously, an update is the least you owe a potential client awaiting to use your services. Please help.
