Warranty repair nightmare..

Sadly, I'm writing this review because shortly after I posted a compliment about the "wonderful service" I received, I found out that the advice I was given by the Tech Support Desk was nonsense.

Earlier this year, I had to send my device back in for repairs after a software upgrade bricked the device. I received my handset back a few weeks later to find that the main board was replaced and the build number had changed. When I queried this with the consultant at Telkom, he couldn't provide answers, when I contacted Huawei_ZA, they claimed that the build number was merely the software version and that I could follow some steps to resolve the issue... which I've tried..several times..and NO CIGAR..

Now, since the Android Marshmallow release came out, I have upgraded my girlfriend's IDENTICAL DEVICE at the same time I performed the upgrade on my own. After I received the device from repairs and performed the upgrade, some features on my device is missing compared to hers.

I have spent hours discussing the issue with tech support and I am yet to receive a solution to the problem. In fact I will contact Telkom today and arrange that the device be sent back.

Everyone involved with this issue will agree that I've been extremely patient, but my patience is running out.

Please just resolve the issue or replace the device. Before it was sent back for repair, I had absolutely NO PROBLEMS whatsoever.

Thanks for phoning guys, unfortunately I was in the middle of an unscheduled meeting and could not discuss the problem with the consultant.

As for your previous comment, the device was not switched out, the motherboard was replaced, and it seems that a previous model/version of the mainboard was installed, which is the root cause of all related issues.
