Waiting to be dissapointed

On the 5th of may I reported a business DSL line that is still down. On the 17th of May after contacting the service center multiple times (because I hadn’t received any communication) a consultant decided to give me an escalation ref (861308) and promised that someone would contact me within 24 hours. On the 19th after 48 hours, and still no communication from Telkom I phoned in again and was promised that a technician would be at our premises before 12h00 on Friday the 20th of May. Guess what, no-one pitched up or contacted me. Today I phoned in again, Bulelwa took my call and the escalation ref, made me hold for 5 minutes and told me that unfortunately this escalation does not exist in their system and that she would log a new one, as if she was trying to cover for someone?! I again asked to speak to a manager who told me that she would send an email to the technician that has already gone home and that she would only be back at the office tomorrow morning at 11am to follow up. Tis would mean that the technician is probably already on his way home again?

How log do you rate a business customer should have to wait for any form of communication to be initiated from an ISP that is being paid to deliver a service? How many “managers” do you think we need to be involved in an “escalation” before any action is taken?

I’ve been waiting to be disappointed….
