Waiting for a line and internet connection

I've app**** for a line and internet connection nearly a month ago. First I got told the order has been cancelled for NO apparent reason. I now have a reference number but still nothing else. We've just moved to Pretoria. I NEED INTERNET because I work from home. My daughter needs the internet, she is busy writing exams. HOW long does it take to get service in this modern age?
