Very Frustrated with Telkom

Well were do I even start. My mom in law who is 83 years old sold her house and has moved into a room in a old age home. She had a Telkom land line which we wanted transfered to her room. We went into a Telkom store in N1 City and a very nice gentleman helped us with all the necessary information which had to be done on the web site. He even gave us a a date at which Telkom would come and install the land line in her room at Panama Palms, Panorama. (26 August) Well this day came and nothing happened. I followed up and was given a story that they had a technical problem but they would escalate the request. I explained to them that she needs to have a phone so that she can get in contact with us. Well two weeks later and still nothing. Once again I phoned and once again I was given the same story. They just kept telling me that they would escalate the request. Eventually when I phoned again I was then told to rather cancel the current land line and apply for a brand new one. Okay so I did this and was then given a date for the 5th November. Well this came and to no avail. It once again did not happen. By this time I was ready to ****** someone. Then when I phoned to follow up I was told that there was no infrastructure at Panama Palms so they cannot install a land line. Now after going through the whole process of ordering a new land line to be told this. Now you tell me, did Telkom not know this. My blood was boiling by this time. Okay so now I am told to once again cancel this request and get her the 24 month Wire Less contract phone. Okay so once again I go ahead and order this. I am told that it will take between seven and 21 days. Okay so once again I phone to follow up and get told that there is a back log of over 40 thousand queries / technical problems. Now you tell me how can they actually place new orders for Wireless devices if they know that they cannot deliver. We are so desperate for a phone for our mom of 83 years old. I am hoping that by writing to Hellopeter some sort of miracle will happen and she will get her phone.
