Very disappointed

I bought a contract phone with Telkom this passing Sunday. Today I called to change the contact number to the prepaid number I've been using for years, which is registered under my wife and they couldn't assist. I was told to go to the Telkom store with my wife, shes currently in Bloemfontein and I'm in Pretoria it's gonna take a month, while I lose my clients and business! There should be another way!
