Very bad ongoing service
<p>I have already reported this on 23 September 2016, 17 October 2016, 31 October 2016, 7 November 2016, 18 November 2016 and 25 November 2016 and no satisfaction yet.</p> <p>They have now informed me that the contract was cancelled but not backdated as I originally requested during May 2016 already. They have, after the second report (17 October 2016), contacted me and indicated that they will cancel the contract backdated and rectify my account accordingly. They have now also handed the outstanding amount over to a company called NuDebt for recovery. I have informed that company that I am disputing Telkom’s amount and on that ground it should not have been handed over and it should also not reflect on my credit record. Every month I have the debit order reversed because I refuse to pay for something I asked to be cancelled and which I have not used either but now NuDebt instated a separate deduction on my account for R298.76 which I have not authorised them to do. Their excuse is that Telkom instructed them to do that and that I must contact Telkom at 081 183 which has not option to query debit orders and nobody answers the phone anyway.</p> <p>Below my original report:</p> <p>I have (had) a 5gig data bundle contract with Telkom which I cancelled in June 2016 because the 2 year period was over at the end of July 2016 and I requested this cancellation numerous times since then. The contract was not cancelled and went up from R239.00 per month to R905.00 per month from the 1st of August 2016 (even after I have not used it). They now insist I go to a Telkom branch to cancel the contract in writing but this makes no sense to me, why can a person take out a contract telephonically but not cancel it the same way?</p> <p>They have now informed me that the contract was cancelled but not backdated as I originally requested during May 2016 already.
