Useless Telkom line

Fault reporting and the fixing of a fault with Telkom is just not happening. Maybe i am asking for too much. I would think in 2018 that my landline is clearer and works better than my cel phone. But not in South Africa. Clients complain. They cannot hear my voice. There is a scratch on the line. The line sounds like i am in a barrel. All these complaints actually belong to a landline and not a cell phone. Hard to believe. Every time Telkom comes out, apparently my line is perfect. Funny that. My clients that call in cannot agree. This is a business line. But maybe Telkom does not need my tiny business, after all i only spend R1000 on average a month. So why should they bother fixing my line.

Hello Mervine

Please confirm if the fault has been repaired or if further assistance is still required?

Should the line still be faulty, please send us a private message with the faulty telephone number for us to assist further.

Regards

Noleen

Hi there, Thank you for the response. Sadly. No It is still a fault. I manage a recruitment business. This line is so bad clients and candidates get so irritated that they simply hang up. My business is suffering as result. Can you please fix it. There have been a number of attempts at fixing this but nothing has worked. This is to say the least - very frustrating. i am desperate for help. At this stage my cell phone is better. Can that even be possible??? Please, please can you help. I have really asked repeatedly for Telkom to come out. The ;last request i sent was not even answered..... Now that is very rude.... Kind regards Mervine

So i am confused. Is anyone at Telkom ever going to respond. How can your organization act this way to small business owners in this country.? I pay my account every month but i do not get the service. Lines in this country worked a lot better in the past. Yes i know you don't like to hear this but its true. And my feeling is that this can only be a deliberate action. Maybe that is why no person bother to respond. What is really going on here. Every technician you send out here has the same story. There is a fault. But it does not get fixed. I honestly wish there was another way to get rid of your useless service and line. Are you guys not even embarrassed by the many complaints that come through. Or is it that you do not care? Is this really the African way. No pride in our national phone system.
