I went to the Secunda Telkom with my husband in May to go and make arrangements with Telkom as i did not receive my salary due to COVID and the debit order for my cellphone will go through without there being money in the bank, the lady told us that we will not be able to cancel the debit order but that we can go to the bank and ask them to cancell and make cash payment every month.

I went to my bank and the lady assisted me to cancell the debit order but told me that normally what Telkom does they just change the debit order amount and then it will go through anyway.

In the meantime I went to Spar and made payment on my account as the lady at the Telkom store also said that we can not pay the account there, still Telkom sent the debit order through and now added R202.00 admin fee for the debit order being rejected... this was exactly the reason we went to them to make prior arrangements.

I paid my cellphone in May and June at the Spar and then end of July received a statement saying that now I owe R302.00 which is my monthly subscription of R99 and then charges of R202.00 again!!!!! i mean really what did i pay for in the first place, my husband then contaced the Telkom customer service headoffice and spoke to Jason and he said that he would rectify the account and that the fees will not be deducted again and will contact me as I never have coverage which means I can not utilise the monthly data I receive, he mentioned that there is some settings on my phone that I need to adjust.

On the 14 August i received an SMS stating that TELKOM deducted R601.40 from my account!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!! How many service or admin charges must I pay????????

since Saturday I have been receiving sms's saying that my account is overdue and I need to make an urgent payment!!!!

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF TELKOM AND ITS USELESS PEOPLE WORKING FOR THEM!!! IT IS A DISGRACE THAT THE BANKS EVEN KNOW THAT THEY ***** PEOPLE'S MONEY BY INCREASING THE DEBIT ORDER AMOUNTS MONTHLY FOR!!!!!! I STILL HAVE 20 GIG DATA THAT I CAN NOT USE!!!!

So yesterday we called the call centre to find out about the payment that went through and Celeste Galant assisted me with the query, she promised me that she would allocate the payment to my account ensuring that my account will be on a zero balance and it will take a few hours. I received an SMS at 23:11 that says that my service has been interrupted and I should call the call centre...... So this morning i called them again and a Sanele answered he said that he can not lie to me but NO AGENT can allocate payments so he is not sure why Celeste would have said that, he will send urgent email to his supervisor for them to unblock my account!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!
