Useless Telkom

<p>I took out a 24 month LTE contract 100gb with Telkom . Initially it worked well with great speed but the speed detoriated to the point where it was unreliable and slow. I had logged call s with the technical department but I gave up eventually. The contract was due to expire on 07 August 2017. </p> <p> </p> <p>In June I sent an email requesting the contract to be cancelled at expiry. This was rejected because their system can only capture a cancellation in the last month of the contract. So I wasted my time emailing back forth because their systems can only cancel within the last month, Surely advanced notice is better? But no. Tekom cant do that.</p> <p> </p> <p>Then on the month the contract expired I should have been charged pro-rata for the last 7 days. I signed a contracted for 24 months. Not 24 months and 23 days?? Surely. </p> <p> </p> <p>But no. Telkom makes sure that they lock you in till the END of the month. So I have been charged over R700 for something I did not agree or sign a contract for and dont want. But according to the unhelpful call centre lady at least I get the data. The data I can barely use... And she refused to escalate my query. So I just have to overpay for something I didnt ask or get a bad credit record from Telkom. This is really a company that cares about it clients... Stay far away.... </p>
