Unused prepaid once off data bundles balance and carry over policy
Shocking level of competency and product knowledge from call center consultants and team leaders. On Monday the 4th September 2017 I called the Telkom mobile contact center to inquire about the validity of their of unused data on their prepaid once off data bundles and their carry over policy. My inquiry was received by Makhosonke who unfortunately gave me with contradicting information on my inquiry and later the call was cut off without a resolution. On calling back my call was routed to their Durban call center where where I spoke to a female consultant whose name I do not remember who promised to escalate my then complaint about lack of quality in the service I was offered and the contradicting information I was receiving from the call center consultants. The manager from the Durban contact center to whom my complaint was escalated to is named Aphiwe who never called me. On Monday the 11th of September 2017 I then called back again to follow up on my complaint, my call was routed to the Johannesburg contact center and to my surprise I was advised that the only consultant that who recorded my inquiry was Makhosonke and no one else. I then requested to talk to a team leader in the Johannesburg contact center and my details were taken down for a team leader who was going to contact me back whose name was Paul Maphoto who called me back before the end of that business day. Upon presenting my inquiry and my understanding of the validity of their prepaid once data bundle unused balance and carry over rules. Paul disputed my version and requested me to provide me with proof of my claims to for him to verify them and in turn he committed to provide me with my usage history dating back for 3 months from the date of my inquiry and further resolve my complaint. Paul never bothered to confirm receipt of my email which I sent him on Thursday the 14 September 2017 or even respond to it after reading it on Friday the 15th September 2017. I then sent him an email requesting him to provide me with feedback on Wednesday the 20th September 2017 requesting him to respond to my submission and equally provide me prepaid data bundle history and resolve my complaint and on the 21 September Paul response was that unfortunately there is not carry over policy on their unused prepaid once off data bundles and they are only valid for 1 month from the date of purchase. My being unsatisfied with Paul's incompetency is that, he never took into consideration my submit ions with were Telkom's online promotional materials, their terms and conditions, and never delivered on him promise of providing me with my data usage history as he had previously committed to, let alone address the issue of dealing with the contradicting information which I previously raised with him but he did exactly that when he ignored the promotional information & terms and conditions I sent him and chose to sent me terms & conditions that contradicted the ones I sent him. I am disappointed and the level of service service that Telkom is offering and the incompetence displayed by Paul Maphoto and Aphiwe's non responsiveness.
