Unsightly Telkom poles and aerial cables in Clarens

Telkom has been installing unsightly poles and aerial cables for their fibre network throughout Clarens over the past 6 weeks. The Clarens Ratepayers' Association ("CRA") and concerned residents have objected to this, requesting that the network be installed underground. The CRA has been in communication with both Dihlabeng Municipality and Telkom on this matter without any resolution proposed from either of these parties. Since our objections have fallen on deaf ears, we have requested members and other residents to consider the above before entering in to contracts with Telkom and perhaps re-consider present contracts. We trust that our combined efforts will convince Telkom to change their stance on this matter and remove the unsightly poles and aerial cables.
