Unreasonable Charge - Debit Order Rejection Fee

A mishap with my bank resulted in Telkom's debit order being returned unpaid.
After calling Telkom to create an arrangement, I was informed by the consultant that I would be liable for a debit order rejection fee of R200.94 (increased from R135.65). I made it clear to the consultant that this figure was something I had never been made aware of and that I wanted her manager to contact me. As is always the case, the manager was in a meeting...It was expressed to the consultant that I did not agree with the fee, nor the ridiculous +/-50% increase (from R135.65 to R200.94) and that I would not pay it until a manager explained it to me. She responded by saying the money will be debited on the 25th of the month, inclusive of the fee - which according to me is ********* and bordering on **********.
After speaking to a consultant this morning, I was told that Telkom increased the rejection fee because they found they weren't making enough of a profit...which begs the question how you came up with the fee in the first place. I asked that a manager explain the charges to me, to which the response was sending me your t's and c's. I insisted that a manager contact me, again they were in a meeting, and I was told she will contact me today at 10:00.
This fee is not something that is clearly stated on my contract, on your website nor on any communication from Telkom - let alone the outrageous increase. Telkom has been unforthcoming and purposefully tricky in the way that this has been handled and I request that this matter is escalated.
