Unlimited Business "special" results in unlimited problems, no service #Telkom

We signed in November 2017 up with #Telkom for a special deal with the launch of the new #UNLIMITEDbusiness on Uncapped ADSL with a 10 meg line, together with a sim card for mobile data. Nosipo Gloria Zulu ********** handled our order and promised that a technician would come to our office to install the router and deliver the simcard. The technician who arrived at our offices on 5 December to switch our line over to the 10 meg ADSL advised that there was no modem requested for this order. We then advised the above terms in an email and copied Nosipo in the mail, at which point she called to confess that she had "messed up" our order and that existing lines were in fact for self-install. She advised that the router was on order and that we could pick up the simcard at any Telkom Store. I asked for the matter to be escalated, and a router was delivered to us on 11 December. Upon installation we discovered that we still had no internet access and we have reported this several times. We were told that the order had to "go back" because it was installed incorrectly. To date we have NO SERVICE from this ADSL line, but we have been billed for the "new service". We have also visited the Telkom Store in Cresta twice, but they have not given the 3G card to us as it seems they are unaware of this order. I have emailed Nosipo SEVERAL times to call me and help with this very poor execution, but she has steadfastly ignored my emails. Thanks for nothing Telkom, we are worse off than BEFORE we took up your "special offer" and we are unable to find anyone at TELKOM to assist us. Order number ********** 906.

Dear Telkom Your technician arrived on 3 January and advised that the ADSL profile was never created! To add insult to injury we were also told that it was not possible to get a 10meg line because of the distance from Rosebank Exchange. The linespeed in the area was capped at 4 meg but we could only sync on 1.6meg and was therefor asked to downgrage to 2meg! Dial up would be faster! I spent hours on the phone with Telkom trying to get the line downgraded to 2 meg all the while regretting having signed for this service. YOur salespeople apparently have a way of checking what linespeed is available in different areas??? No Telkom. Just no.
