Unhappy client

Hi. My dad signed a contract at the Telkom branch in Tygervalley on the 1st December 2016 for an iPhone 6. It was the very next day that I noticed that the battery runs down quickly which results in me having to charge the phone twice a day. I then took the phone back to the Telkom branch in Tygervalley on the 7th December for repairs. On the day of giving the phone back I said to the Telkom staff more than once that I'm moving to Kwa-Zulu Natal and I'm leaving on the 30th December 2016. I was then reassured that my phone will be back from repairs within two weeks. When I came back to the Telkom branch two weeks later I was told that my phone is still not back from repairs but it should be back after Christmas and before I leave Cape Town. I went one last time to Telkom in Tygervalley before leaving and I was then informed that my phone is still not back and they can't give me any other information. I then moved to Kwa-Zulu Natal without a phone. After being without a phone for two months and constantly making enquiries I eventually got my phone back on the 8th February 2017. However the same problem occurred and my phone battery died very quickly and needed to be charged twice a day again. I work as an audiologist at a rural hospital in KZN and spend very little time time on my phone during the day but I still experience my battery running down quickly. In the meantime I've been speaking to an employee of Telkom that I've been put in contact with and she has been very helpful however I felt after complaining for a second time in February 2017 Telkom did not take this matter seriously and they only assisted me in May 2017 and my phone went back in for repairs on the 25th May 2017. This time I was told that I will get a new phone. On the 29th June 2017 I received my phone back from Telkom, after it being gone for just over a month, and they assured me that it was a new device even though I queried as to why the box wasn't sealed and upon opening it did I discover that it was still my old earphones and old charger in the box. I then still monitored the phone hoping that it will be fixed however I am back at the beginning with a phone that needs to be charged twice a day. I have complained again and now Telkom is telling me that I need to claim from insurance and that they as Telkom do not give new Apple devices if it is faulty. This meaning that I have been **** to when I was told that I will get a new phone and then secondly when my phone was delivered then assuring me that it is a brand new phone. I am upset but mostly frustrated with this situation and I would really just like to put it behind me.
