Unfair Business Practice

<p>I have been with Telkom Mobile for about 2 years and recently I was eligible to upgrade my contract. At first I wasn't sure if I should continue with the contract or not because they had nothing which apprealed to me at the time but I decided to upgrade regardless. I upgraded my contract about a month ago by taking the R199 Huawei P8 Lite Package but a week later, to my dismay, Telkom announced and launched the 'FreeMe' deals and packages. The FreeMe packages are wonderful packages which, in my opitnion, have revolutionised mobile pricing in South Africa but I feel extremely dissapointed in Telkom and feel sick to the stomach knowing that they would let me upgrade my contract a week prior the new pricing Structure without informing me and / or telling me to wait. The very same package which I am on now has been discounted to R149 per month whereas I am paying R199 per month and they have a FreeMe 1Gb deal with the same phone going for R199 per month. I feel ********** knowing that I could of had the FreeMe deal instead of what I have now and for the same price as what I am currently paying.</p> <p> </p> <p>What's even more sickening is the fact that Telkom launched a promotion for the very same product about a week after they announced and launched 'FreeMe'. The Huawei P8 Lite phone bundled with the 1Gb FreeMe bundle was on sale for R139 per month. R139 for something I had signed up for 2 weeks prior and have to currently pay R298 for every month of my life for the next 2 years. This is disgusting service from Telkom and a HUGE turnoff. I've already intruduced several people to Telkom's FreeMe and I am promoting it our of my own free will; thanks to me 2 of those people that I know of have already signed 2 year FreeMe contracts with Telkom. If this is the kind of business approach by Telkom I think I'm going to start spreading absolute negativity about Telkom instead of promoting them.</p> <p> </p> <p>I'd very much appreaciate it if you guys could be fair and update my current Telkom mobile contract to the R139 Huawei P8 Lite price structure which you guys just stopped promoting or, at least, include the 1Gb FreeMe package into my existing R199 deal at no extra cost as the pricing is currently structured.</p> <p> </p> <p>Here's hoping,</p> <p>Jonathan Grundmann</p>
