Unfair Billing

Good Day, My name is Zenzele Brian Nxumalo I recently became unemployed I am now self-employed and admittedly I have been struggling to pay my bills. I have managed to pay my Telkom bills till the 1st of August. In August I had submitted a complaint that one of my bills (June) that I had paid using EFT was not registered, this was corrected. In addition, I requested that my billing date be changed this was 15 also. The date change was confirmed for the following month this September (please see correspondences on this email). My expectation was that I would be billed on the 15 of September 2020 with the possibility of an added amount for the 15 outstanding days ( est. billing for half the month outstanding). I was billed on the 1st of September I did not have the funds. I was billed R2344. I was also billed R2144 for the 15th of June I was told that I will be billed the full amount of R2144 or R2344 in October Today my services were suspended (this affects my ability to generate income). I acknowledge that I did not pay my September bill. This I intended to address ASAP. What is not clear to me especially to my current financial situation why is Telkom billing me the way they which is incorrect. I was told be the call center agent this is how Telkom works: (the year 2020)August 1 R2144September 1 R2344September 15 R2144 October 1 R2144 or R2344

This billing sequence does not make sense to me but apparently according to the agent this how telkom works they will not or cannot change this. I told the agent they are overcharging me or I am being penalized for changing the billing date. I had every intention to resolve my billing arrears but I really can not afford this sequence of billing. Please help me to rectify this if possible, or make this clear to me. Kind regards, Zenzele Brian Nxumalo
