Unauthorised SIM Cards registered by Telkom Call Centre on Account

Telkom Mobile must take responsibility for any sim card registered with their network at any of their business entities. When logging into the self help Portal for the first time and linking my account I was shocked to find 4 other cellphone numbers linked to my name and account. These numbers where all registered at a 'Call Centre' between the 15 June 2019 to 09 September 2020.

The purpose of the RICA law It will help prevent ********* from using cellphones for ******* activities. ********* often use cellphones when planning and committing crimes. If this is the law then certainly an organization at the scale of Telkom Mobile should ensure that all stakeholders within their organization abide by the law when conducting their business i.e registering new sim cards. It is certainly ******* to register a SIM card using someone else's details. Whats worse is knowing that it is Telkom employees that are performing this ******* act.

De-linking these SIM cards are fine and removes them from the account holder, but Telkom need to get to the bottom of this within their organization and the onus should not be placed on the consumer to take it up out of Telkom when the issue was initiated by Telkom.
