Unacceptable billing policy
Telkom allows private Service Companies (SC) to make use of their infrastructure and any calls to such a number is being charged for. The telephone numbers are neither identifiable nor recognisable. These numbers are displayed by businesses as their landline contact telephone numbers BUT those of us who enjoy the Closure 3 package make calls to these advertised numbers WITHOUT knowing that as a subscriber you will be billed for the call - remember the closure 3 package entail free calls to any Telkom landline any time of the day and night limited to, I think, R 1000 per month and within the borders of SA.
The public, and me in particular, have been misled as Telkom has not communicated this arrangement to their subscribers and they have also NOT informed us as subscribers to be on the look-out for these particular numbers as costs could be incurred. How are these numbers identified?
I am not happy with these additional costs which are appearing on my statement every month as I am under the impression that I subscribe to the Closure 3 package and if I abide by the rules NO additional charges will be levied or incurred.
