UNACCEPTABLE!! Application for 2nd Integrated Data SIM caused service to stop working alltogether.

In August 2016 I got 1 Integrated data Sim card activated and has been working ever since, untill I requested a second simcard. I went to various Telkom branches all saying they don't have simcards. So the latest was that I went to Telkom in Walmer Park shopping centre in Port Elizabeth on Saturday 6 January 2017 where a gentleman (I will withhold names on the post) told me that they dont have simcards and that I should go again in a weeks time. So I went again on Friday 13 January 2017 where a gentleman at the door asked if he could assist as the queue was very long, he told me they have simcards, so I waited in the queue for 30 minutes. When I got to the same gentleman as the week before, he told me they stil havent received simcards, then I told him that his colleagues mentioned that they have and then got told that it is a different type of SIM. So after 30mins of waiting I got nowhere and he told me to come back on Monday 16 January 2017 as they will get stock at 11:00AM and I can come around 13:00 and it will be ready and activated for me.

So I went there again on Monday 16 January 2017 at 12:45 and then waited in the queue, then the gentleman was not was not there and I asked a colleugue that he can call me when he is back. So I got no call back and went again at 17:00, when I got there he just handed me a sim and said that another lady will help me because he didnt get time to activate it. When I looked, it was a normal prepaid SIM and not some or other special one.

The lady then started to help me and the first thing I asked was if my 1st working SIM will continue to work unaffected because I rely on it and cannot afford it to stop working and she assured me that it will all be okay and it won't affect my working SIM. So she went through the activation process and I was there for approx 30mins and at the end she told me that the new SIM is done and working. So I went home and tested it, and noticed that the new sim is not working.

I went back on Tuesday 17 January and told her it's not working, and then she told me that the "2nd" thing didnt go trough. Then I said that she told me all is working, and ofcourse I just got excuses. I asked her again if my 1st wokring SIM will continue to work, and assured me it will be fine and unaffected So she tried another SIM card and I took my modem with me to test and when she was complete I tested it again, and again it did not work. So she gave her name and email address and told me to email her later the day because she logged a dispute and then she will give feedback. I gave her my details also and asked her to let me know. So later the afternoon I emailed her and she rep**** saying they just got back to her and it should be working again. Ofcourse, it was still not working.

When I got home Tueday evening, I found that my 1st working SIM stopped working as well and do not have any internet access on it anymore, so I sent a long email explaining that it is not woking and they all assured me that my original SIM card will be unaffected. Ofcourse it caused havoc as my girlfriend was without internet and could not get inmortant things done. I called the 10210 number and explained the issue and the person could not do anything from his side.

I went back to Telkom at 09:00 on Wednesday 18 January 2017 with my patience almost non-existant anymore. The lady also had somewhat of an attitude towards me and she said she can only do so much, and I told her that the first SIM is not working. So she got hold of someone on the phone who assited her and she did a few things. It still did not work, so she called again and then got told the Telkom ISP need to do something. so I was there waiting until 10:30 and then she called again and told me that the ISP guy is in a meeting until 12:00. So I left and sent her an email at 12:45 asking about the progress and she said she waill check and feedback. after an hour I got nothing and asked about the progress again. So I went to the branch yet again at 14:00. When I got there the lady seems irritated and said she is still awaiting feedback and called all the relevant people to escallate it. I stayed there again until she got hold of someone on the phone who was going to call me back. She told me that the ISP guy told her to delete/cancel something and when she was done with it, he told her sorry he was confused with another customer.

I am still waiting for my original working SIM to work again as well as for the new SIM's to work.

This has been a complete waste of time and it seems to be getting nowhere. The lady at the branch seemed to have done as much as she is capable of, so how and who do I apporoach that can just resolve this issue?? It is extremely frustrating and I do not know what to do. I need to get these sims working as soon as possible, most importantly I need my original SIM card to work again.

During all this I had to ask time off from work continually, which I have to work back after hours and causing me utter inconvenience.

Can someone just please help and hand it to someone competant enough to get this sorted once and for all?
