Unable to migrate my ADSL line

After a long painful experience I decided enough is enough. I want my ADSL line migrated to another internet provider. In order to do that, I need to ask Telkom to release my ADSL line into a holding pool. Well, I've spent the whole morning to do that to no avail. I've called 10210 and talked to the accounts department. They say they can't do that but Sales department. I've called 10213 to talk to Sales. They say they can't do it but the Accounts department. I've been forward and backwards numerous times. This is shocking. It feels as they do it on purpose so that you have to stick with them. I'm adamant to persist until this is done. I've had enough with Telkom.

The same day I wrote my review above, I managed to do online a cancellation request of my ADSL line with the request to not actually cancel it but release the line into a holding pool. We received 2 cases number: ********** 9 and ********** 5. Last Thursday we received 2 sms saying the cases had been resolved, whatever that meant. On Friday, we called Telkom to see what happened. The operator couldn't tell us but she help us with the request of putting the line into a holding pool. She said it would be resolved within 72 hours. Today we called again and the operator said nothing had been done. He said maybe by Thursday. How long does this really going to take? Seriously Telkom's customer service is appalling. It's run as if it was Home Affairs. They deserve to go out of business. I can't wait to get the hell out of it.

More than a month later. Nothing has been done. This is not surprising. I'm beyond anger. It's not even disappointing because one doesn't even have the expectation. The day TELKOM disappears will be a good day
