UNABLE TO CANCEL TELKOM SERVICE: ADVICE NEEDED

In February this year I cancelled all my Telkom services as I was moving to a new location that offers Fibre.

I completed the cancellation form and emailed it to Telkom's cancellations department, all in accordance to their process and procedures. One day later a call centre agent contacted me to inform me that my Telkom services has been set to cancel on the 29th of February.

However, I've been receiving emails every month since then with invoices for a service that I've cancelled. Every month I try to contact Telkom, both their cancellations and escalations department doesn't have time for me, although it is their job to cancel services.

Last week on 8 September, a guy from Telkom contacted me informing me of my outstanding balance and when they can expect payment. I told him, but I've cancelled my service in February already. He said "Ok" and put the phone down. I know for a fact he won't do anything about it and I will just end up on a black list.

The call centres advice is to contact the cancellations department via email or the escalations department. I am sick and tired of Telkom and their poor service delivery. Its been 7 months already and nothing has been done about it.

Hi Hilary
Thanks for assisting, however Afrihost made a mistake with my cancellation and issued a credit note for March on 31 March. The fact that they took an additional month to cede the line back to you is not my concern and should be taken up with them and I will not be held accountable for that.
I'm willing to pay for the month of March and April, but not for May and June as well. I have enough proof to indicate that my services should have been cancelled at latest end of March.
Please provide me with an invoice for those two months.
Kind regards,
Marius

I'm still being invoiced for 7 months since 1 March to date.
Like I said above I will pay for March and April which will end up being around R400.00. Please issue me an invoice to reflect that and reverse any interest that you accumulated onto that amount.
The rest you can try and recover from Afrihost as they made the mistake...not me and I refuse to take responsibility for that.
