UNABLE TO CANCEL SERVICE

My cellphone contract was nearing completion so i phoned to find out about the cancellation precedures.

I have all the calls recorded myself.

I was told that i should send through the cancellation form exactly a month prior to the expiration of my contract, that being the 6/10/2017. The person i spoke with also mailed me the form.

On the 5/10/2017 I mailed the form through just to make sure it gets there, to ensure it does.

On the 6/10/2017 i had not recieved a reciept for the cancellation yet so i phoned in to follow up. The person i spoke with said that i mshould then mail it to them and they will forward it on to make sure it goes through. I have record of this call and the email transaction.

The end of October came and my contract rolled on over with my account being debited again, at a reduced rate .

I then went into the Loch Logan Telkom Mobile store to find out what was going on, the sales rep checked and informed me that the service has not been cancelled it is rolling on at a reduced rate as i am now only paying for the minutes and data as the phone is paid. There was no notice of any cancellation or anything.

What do these people even do with this paper work?? Pathetic.

So he helped me full in another form and he sent it off for cancellation. I still have recieved no notice of cancellation and my account has been debited again at the end of November.

This surely cannot be legal, i believe this is a deliberate delay, to accumulate additional fund. If they do this to a million people how much are they raking in from this convenient delay of letting people go you are clearing fed up with thier overall absolutely pathetic service delivery.

So honestly i feel i have exhausted my option, how am i supposed to cancel a service if the service provider refuses to acknowledge my cancellation request which i submit following their requested procedures a the key.

What legal action can i take as this is hugely unfair and basically theft. They are extracting money from me unwillingly.
